PV Energy Systems Internship
Job Type: part-time
Experience: Student with basic experience
Salary: After initial period, evaluation will be completed for consideration of a continued paid part-time position
Tasks during the internship:
- PV systems design for German and American customers
- Preparing Bills of Materials
- Making Operation and Maintenance documents
- Developing PV-based smart energy solutions
- Creating PV systems simulations
- Offered PV solutions documentation review and update
- Analysis & documentation of problem trouble reports found during testing
- Providing written and verbal status of testing progress to the concurrent engineering team
Requirements:
- Currently an enrolled student (all years accepted)
- Fluent English-speaking and writing / ability to freely communicate with others in English
- Familiarity and interest in the field of manufacturing and design
- Familiarity in dealing with codes and standards
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
Preferred skills:
- Experience using office and graphical design software especially Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and Canva knowledge is an additional asset
- CAD experience especially with SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Basic knowledge about renewable energy systems
- Professionalism with others and engineers
- Experience with technical documents
- Practical experience in the field of manufacturing and design
- Ability to work independently
- Passionate about learning and sustainability
